Common questions

What is Sporting Ledger?

A private shooting diary for individual shooters. You can record outings, firearms, ammunition, places, species, notes and photos. It is designed for personal record-keeping, not official compliance or police returns.

Can I use the app without signal?

Yes. Sporting Ledger is offline-first. You can add and edit entries without mobile coverage.

Must my data be saved online?

No. In Account you can choose Keep on this phone only or Save online with my account. Phone-only data is not copied to your online account and may be lost if the phone is lost or replaced.

Where is my online data stored?

When you turn on saving to your account, your log is stored using secure cloud services in Ireland (EU). See our Privacy policy for details.

Do you collect firearm serial numbers?

No. Sporting Ledger does not ask for serial numbers.

Do you sell my data or show adverts?

No. We do not sell personal data. The app does not use advertising SDKs.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app and go to Account → Delete account. Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your account page.
